PISCATAWAY, N.J. (AP) - Marquis Hall scored 18 of his game-high 28 points in the second half, including five in the final 51 seconds, as Lehigh stunned Rutgers 76-71 on Wednesday night.

The win for Lehigh snapped an 18-game losing streak to Rutgers in a series that dates back to 1907. Lehigh’s last win over Rutgers came in 1967.

Zahir Carrington’s two free throws with 1:36 to play gave Lehigh the lead for good. Carrington finished with 15 points overall.

Dave Buchberger scored 12 and Phil Anderson contributed 10 points as Lehigh (4-1) won at Rutgers for the first time since Feb. 28, 1962.

Corey Chandler scored 13 of his 15 points in the second half, including 11 points during a 22-13 run that brought Rutgers (3-2) back from a 44-37 deficit.

The lead changed hands six times over the final four minutes.
