Your editorial about the Orwellian-named “Free Choice Act” is on the mark except for your comment that there is “no proof that non-union workers would organize even with card check.” (” ‘Card check’ red herring,” Editorial Nov. 21).

If any of you had ever been in a union organizing campaign you would know that this comment is naive and out of touch with reality.

The Free Choice Act will, without any doubt whatsoever, allow unions to successfully organize any business essentially at will! Be advised that intimidation as applied in organizing drives is a highly developed art form that is virtually impossible for individuals to withstand and that is impossible to legally prevent.

It is unfortunate that poor Arlen Specter and other liberals who profess concern with individual rights (and indeed one of your editors) is so badly out of touch with the real world.
