PARIS (AP) - Eurostar passenger trains are running again through the tunnel under the English Channel two days after an undersea fire suspended service.

Eurostar says it has restarted “limited service” but that travel time will be longer than usual.

Trains are only running in one of the two tunnels, the one untouched by Thursday’s fire. The other tunnel remains closed.

Eurostar says 12 trains are expected to run Saturday in each direction between Paris and London and up to six trains in each direction between Brussels and London.

Freight service resumed overnight.

Firefighters worked more than 16 hours in extreme temperatures to put out the fire that broke out in a train shuttling trucks from England to France. Fourteen people were injured.
