Standing in a crowded room

Yet I’m all by my lonesome self

Looking for a friend

But not one is on the horizon

I look as far as I can see, none

Nowhere to be found

The feeling of loneliness in a crowded room

Humility

All see your sorrowing state

Yet none lend a helping hand

A caring face

All I need to feel warm

Give it all up for warmth

One face in a crowd

A fire

Radiating warmth

To all who are near

None will freeze

In the cold abyss of a lonely room

Because a friend

Helps

Relieve the pain

Bottled inside

A starved heart

Lets you know

You are not alone

Lets all know there is hope

In the darkness of

A crowded room we’re alone

When all see the pain

But no one seems to care

Except

A friend.
