The leaves have already started to fall,

This time of year is the prettiest of all.

It’s time to ditch the sandals and put on some socks,

Close all the windows and tighten the locks.

Start wearing gloves, scarves and hats,

Put away your balls and baseball bats.

The holidays are coming and so is the snow,

Be prepared to be chilly wherever you go.

Your cheeks will get red and your fingers numb,

You won’t feel a thing from your pinky to thumb.

The wind is blowing and the sky is gray,

This will be the weather each and every day.

You better start thinking about presents and cards,

We all know that giving gifts can be so hard.

But before you get depressed about the cold and whatnot,

Just think: Only seven more months til the weather is hot!
