Annual Showdown set for Damascus

The 9th Annual Showdown in Damascus Car, Truck and Bike Show will be held from 9:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturday.

The rain-or-shine event will be held at Damascus Chevy on Route 124. Proceeds will benefit Hospice Caring, according to the sponsors. Trophies will be awarded and vendors are welcome. For more information, call 202/363-1732.

Superkids event slated Saturday

The Superkids 3rd Annual Car Show will be held from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturday at Prince George High School in Prince George, Va.

A total of 24 trophies will be awarded as well as $5,000 in cash prizes, according to the sponsoring Hopewell-Prince George Civitan Club.

All proceeds will benefit the Superkids Group Home Project.

The high school is located at 7801 Laurel Springs Road in Prince George.

Fords on display for two-day show

The 24th Annual Mustang and Ford Show will run Saturday and Sunday in Glen Allen, Va., from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. each day.

The event, hosted by the Central Virginia Mustang Club, will be at the VA Center Commons Mall, 10101 Brook Road, Glen Allen. The Simon Youth Foundation will benefit from the proceeds.

All-Buick event in Westminster

The 22nd Annual All-Buick Show is scheduled for Sunday at a dealership in Westminster, Md.

The event, sponsored by the Buick Owners of Maryland, begins with registration from 9:30 to 11:30 a.m. for $15.

Peer judging in 16 classes is from noon to 2 p.m. The host is Davis Buick-Pontiac-GMC, located at 1115 Baltimore Blvd., Westminster.

All vehicles must be on the show field by noon for this rain-or-shine event.

Concours slated for Sunday

The St. Michaels Concours d’Elegance is holding its second annual show Sunday in the Eastern Shore resort town of the same name.

The event will be held on the waterside lawn of the Perry Cabin and Spa from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. All proceeds will benefit the American Red Cross of the Delmarva Peninsula, according to the sponsors.

Mustang-Ford show for cars, trucks

The National Capital Region Mustang Club will host a Mustang-Ford car and truck show Oct. 4 at a dealership in Woodbridge, Va.

Registration closes at 11 a.m. for the event, which will run from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Cowles Ford, 13779 Noblewood Plaza, near Minnieville Road and Prince William Parkway.

N.J. fair offers car show, too

The 37th Annual Greenwich Artisans’ Faire and Marketplace in New Jersey is holding a car show this year on the second day of the event.

The car show will be from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Sunday in Greenwich, N.J. An estimated 400 vehicles are expected, according to the sponsors. For more information, call 856/455-4055.

Maryland show aids a senior center

A classic car show will be held Oct. 4 at the Glenwood Community Center in Howard County, Md., from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. for owners of cars made in 1972 and earlier.

Registration is $13. The event will benefit the Glenwood Senior Center.

In addition to celebrity judging, including for best of show and people’s choice, there will be food, door prizes and 50-50 raffles.

Back to Bethesda scheduled Oct. 4

The 18th annual Come Back to Bethesda car, truck and motorcycle show and family day is scheduled Oct. 4 at Chevy Chase Cars.

The event, which benefits the Children’s Inn at NIH, will have judging in stock classes and modified/custom/street rod classes.

The day begins with registration from 9 a.m. to noon for $20 and ends with award presentations from 3 to 4 p.m. In addition to trophies, there will be $600 in cash prizes, contests, clowns, entertainment and games for children. The dealership is located at 7725 Wisconsin Ave.

Soldiers home show in District on Oct. 5

The Antique Auto Assembly’s 51st annual show at the Armed Forces Retirement Home will be held Oct. 5 in the District.

The day begins at 8 a.m. with free coffee before registration. At 11 a.m., assembly and judging starts. The Nation’s Capital Model T Club assembly demonstration begins at 12:15 p.m., followed at 12:30 by award presentations and a caravan drive-by of the home-care facility.

In addition to the judging, there will be entertainment and refreshments. The retirement home is located at 3700 N. Capitol St. NW.

All-Pontiac event set for Oct. 5

An all-Pontiac show, hosted by the Royal GTOs, is scheduled for Oct. 5 at a dealership in Gaithersburg from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.

The rain-or-shine event will feature judging in 16 classes, with trophies for first, second and third in each class. Dealer’s choice and best-of-show vehicles also will be chosen before award presentations at 3 p.m.
