How did you get started in real estate? I sold my restaurants and wanted to try something new.

How long have you been with the current company? Almost two years

Licenses and designations: Associate broker in Maryland; licensed in the District and Virginia

Associations: Greater Capital Area Association of Realtors, Northern Virginia Association of Realtors

Awards: Platinum sales award 2007 (above $10 million)

Greatest accomplishment in the past 12 months: Helping take care of my parents in St. Louis with my brother.

What is your area of specialty? Dupont and U Street

Highest-priced home sold: $1,398,000

Describe the most memorable house you’ve been involved with: My first home purchase was my most memorable, and I use the memories to keep me grounded on what my buyers and my sellers may be thinking and feeling. I needed guidance on my loan, my home inspection, everything. The house was barely livable, but, after the work we put in, did we love it! We sold it after seven years, and it paid off our car and remaining student loans and left enough for a 20 percent down payment on our next home. It made me a true believer in homeownership. It also helped me understand how personal and emotional my business is.

Describe your worst experience buying or selling a house: None has been bad, but some have been embarrassing, such as getting locked in a stairwell with my buyers and having to call the listing agent to let us out.

Last movie seen: With a 3-year-old? We Netflix.

What kind of car do you drive?: Suzuki

Describe your personal dream house: It would be large enough for friends in need and family anytime with great neighbors. Oh my gosh, I may already have that.
