— Jeff Cunningham, Andre Rocha and Kenny Cooper scored in FC Dallas‘ 3-0 victory over D.C. United on Sunday.

FC Dallas (8-9-9) has 33 points, one behind Colorado and Real Salt Lake for the final automatic playoff spot in MLS’ Western Conference.

D.C. United (10-13-3) is now on a five-game winless streak.

Cunningham scored his eighth goal of the year and FC Dallas’ second goal of the game in the 56th minute. Marcelo Saragosa crossed a pass to Cunningham, who raced past United’s Gonzalo Martinez and tapped a shot into the net with his right foot.

Rocha scored in the ninth minute off a direct free kick. It came from 35 yards away on the left side and bounced in front of United goalkeeper Louis Crayton before bouncing over Crayton’s head and into the top right corner of the net. The goal was Rocha’s third of the year and marked the first time FC Dallas has scored a goal off a direct free kick this season.

Cooper scored an unassisted goal in the 93rd minute for his 15th goal of the season.

United did not have a shot on goal until Luciano Emilo’s attempt in the 54th minute. FC Dallas goalkeeper Dario Sala finished the game with three saves. Crayton finished with one save.

FC Dallas captain Duilio Davino entered the game as a substitute in the 68th minute after missing the last seven games with a left toe injury. FC Dallas snapped a six-game winless streak against United.
