SEEN AND HEARD AT TURNER FIELD

ATLANTA - The Redskins-Giants NFL opener was on plenty of people’s minds inside the Nationals‘ clubhouse before Thursday’s game but not because there are many Redskins fans on the team. Of greater interest was the implications the game might have on the Nationals’ fantasy football league. Tim Redding debated whether to start Eli Manning against the Redskins or Brett Favre against the Dolphins. Confident as he was that the Giants would win handily, Redding was worried a blowout might mean fewer passing yards for Manning and more rushing yards for Brandon Jacobs (a member of Jason Bergmann’s fantasy team).
