JACKSONVILLE, FLA. (AP) - Another continuance may be sought in the trial of a man charged with attempted murder in the September shooting of former Jacksonville Jaguars offensive lineman Richard Collier.

Last week, Circuit Judge Mallory Cooper delayed the trial of 33-year-old Richard Hartsfield for two weeks until April 13, after defense attorney Ann Finnell told the judge she was not ready to go to trial.

At the time, Finnell told the judge the delay was not long enough and she said she might seek another continuance.

Another pretrial hearing is scheduled Wednesday.

Hartsfield is charged with shooting Collier 14 times. The former player is paralyzed from the waist down and his left leg was amputated.
