How did you get started in real estate? My husband and I joined a direct marketing company selling health-food products. I enjoyed meeting and talking to people. My husband suggested that I try real estate school. I took the class and started working for a real estate firm in Riverdale.

Greatest accomplishment in the past 12 months: I am serving a second term as the PGCAR president.

Area of specialty: Residential real estate, first-time homebuyers and single females; northern Prince George's County and the District

Highest-priced home sold: Just under $900,000

Most memorable house: My most memorable houses were the ones I saw when I was working with Howard University to sell properties they owned in historic LeDroit Park in the District.

Worst experience buying or selling a house: In the 2007 market, regular homeowners were competing with homes in the neighborhood that were facing foreclosure or selling as a short sale.

Community affiliations/outside interests: My greatest outside interest is Zion Baptist Church in the District. I serve on the board for Human Needs Ministry, the Pastor Aid Circle and the Zion Baptist Historical Commission. I volunteer with the Share Food Network.
