LAKE BUENA VISTA, FLA. (AP) - Olympic gold medalist gymnasts Nastia Liuki and Shawn Johnson and North Carolina basketball star Tyler Hansbrough are among the finalists for the Sullivan Award.

The other finalists for the award honoring the nation’s top amateur athlete are Stanford volleyball player Cynthia Barboza and the men’s Olympic 400-meter freestyle relay team.

The winner will be announced April 15 in New York.

Liukin, of Parker, Texas, and Johnson, of West Des Moines, Iowa, combined to win nine medals at the Beijing Games. Liukin was the all-around champion and Johnson won the balance beam. Hansbrough has led the Tar Heels to the Final Four in Detroit.
