PITTSBURGH (AP) - Pittsburgh police say several officers have been hurt in a shooting and standoff in a city neighborhood.

Police spokeswoman Diane Richards says the officers were hurt in a 7 a.m. shooting at a home in the Stanton Heights neighborhood. The sound of shots being fired could be heard two hours later.

After that, police moved spectators farther from the scene. People in neighboring homes have been evacuated and police cars line each side of the block.

WTAE-TV reports the officers had been called to the residence to investigate a reported domestic dispute. State, county and city police are at the scene along with a SWAT team and a state police helicopter.
