WASHINGTON (AP) - Given one last chance to make a good preseason impression, Josh Willingham hit a grand slam and later drove in the go-ahead run in Washington’s 5-4 victory over Baltimore in the teams’ exhibition finale Saturday.

Vying for playing time in a crowded outfield, Willingham homered off Alfredo Simon in the first inning. He broke a 4-4 tie in the seventh with an RBI fielder’s choice off Jim Johnson.

Willingham also contributed a diving catch in the sixth, sprinting to Felix Pie’s sinking liner in foul territory. Willingham started in left field for Adam Dunn, who played first base because Nick Johnson was given the night off.

Baltimore’s Aubrey Huff hit a three-run homer off Shairon Martis in the third.
