L'AQUILA, Italy (AP) – Premier Silvio Berlusconi says more than 150 people have been killed in an earthquake in mountainous central Italy.

Berlusconi also says more than 1,500 people have been injured in the quake, which struck near the medieval town of L'Aquila before dawn Monday.
