THE WASHINGTON TIMES
In case you didn’t tune into The Washington Times’ nationally syndicated radio show “America’s Morning News” - heard in Washington on WTNT-AM 570 and coast-to-coast via the Talk Radio Network - here’s what just a few of Thursday’s guests told co-hosts Melanie Morgan and John McCaslin:
• Former Rep. Ernest Istook, Oklahoma Republican and distinguished fellow at the Heritage Foundation: As emotions run high over proposed government-run health care, Mr. Istook revealed that the Obama White House would soon appoint another “czar,” this one to oversee a planned transformation to “Obamacare.”
• Dr. Scott Atlas, chief of neuroradiology at Stanford University Medical School: Dr. Atlas presented 10 reasons why the U.S. health care system is in better condition than some might gather from proponents of government-run health care.
• John Tamny, editor of RealClearMarkets.com: Mr. Tamny said the “new norm” regarding “Obamanomics” speaks to a new way of thinking: Businesses must look to the government, not only for financial sustenance, but for a direction on how to operate.
• Louisiana State University professor John S. Baker: Mr. Baker noted that the U.S. Census Bureau is set to count all people physically present in the United States - including those here illegally. He said the result could “unconstitutionally” increase the number of elected representatives in some states and deprive other states of their rightful political representation.
