In a few weeks, the United Nations will hold its annual meeting of the General Assembly, where heads of states, or their spokesmen, will be representing their respective countries. Mahmoud Ahmadinejad will be there on Sept. 24 — not as a true representative of the Iranian people but as someone who became president by an electoral coup d’etat masterminded by the leader of the Islamic Republic of Iran, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei.

It is the duty of people throughout the world to let their leaders know Mr. Ahmadinejad is not the Iranian people’s choice and to demand that they walk out of the chambers when Mr. Ahmadinejad takes the podium to deliver his speech. Show the Iranian people that the world community stands with them as they struggle for justice and democracy.
