Highest-priced home sold: $899,000

Most memorable house: I received a call from a potential buyer about a new home in Kenwood Park, an upscale area of Bethesda. It turned out that the buyer was the president of the Bank of Mexico’s branch in the District. When I arrived at his office, I was met by his aides and escorted into a large red velvet-trimmed executive office.

Worst experience buying or selling a house: I moved a family into their new house prior to settlement. They had a 6-foot boa constrictor for a pet, and I watched them feed it a white rat for a meal. The settlement went as planned the next day.
