• The University of the District of Columbia Community College appointed Jonathan Gueverra as chief executive officer and Jacqueline SkinnerJackson as interim dean of academic affairs. Mr. Gueverra previously served as provost of Northern Virginia Community College. Ms. Skinner recently taught at George Washington’s University Graduate School of Education.

Nathaniel Sillin was named communications director for Rep. Mike Coffman, Colorado Republican. Mr. Sillin previously was an associate in the D.C. office of R&R Partners, an integrated marketing communications firm with offices in Nevada, Utah and the District.

• The U.S. Chamber of Commerce hired Brian Gunderson as vice president and managing director of the organization’s Campaign for Free Enterprise. Mr. Gunderson most recently served as chief of staff to Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice and U.S. Trade Representative Robert Zoellick.


• Global law firm Mayer Brown LLP named Gary M. Hnath a partner in its intellectual property practice in the District. Previously, Mr. Hnath was a partner at Bingham McCutchen LLP’s Washington office, where he focused on intellectual property litigation.

Roger D. Winston was named chair of the real property, trust and estate law section of the American Bar Association. Mr. Winston is co-leader of the Planned Communities and Condominiums Group at Ballard Spahr Andrews & Ingersoll LLP’s Bethesda office.


• Stanley Convergent Security Solutions Inc., an electronic security company based in Naperville, Ill., named Daniel Myslewski vice president of its national account’s government program. He will be responsible for the company’s federal and government contractor clients. Mr. Myslewski spent more than 10 years with ADT Security Services Inc., most recently as director of sales and marketing in the federal systems division at ADT’s Washington office.

William D. Tidwell was named senior vice president of CresaPartners LLC, a Bethesda real estate advisory firm. Mr. Tidwell previously served as senior director in the McLean office of Cushman & Wakefield Inc., a commercial real estate broker and consultant firm.

Lance K. Josal was named president and chief executive officer of RTKL Associates Inc., a D.C. architecture firm. Mr. Josal previously directed the firm’s commercial practice group.


• Neighborhood Restaurant Group of Alexandria appointed Steve Mannino executive chef of Alexandria’s Rustico restaurant. Mr. Mannino will also head a second Rustico location expected to open in Ballston next summer. Mr. Mannino is a graduate of the Culinary Institute of America in New York and has worked in restaurants in New York, Chicago, Boston and Las Vegas.
