c Texas Gov. Rick Perry, a Republican: Mr. Perry criticized Washington’s intrusion into the lives of Texans, particularly with regard to proposed government-run health care and climate change policies. It’s no wonder, he said, that 1,000 people move each week to the Lone Star State.
c George Allen, former U.S. senator and governor of Virginia: Mr. Allen said there is so much to be accomplished in his role as chairman of the American Energy Freedom Center that it has left him little time to contemplate any political plans.
c Dave Marsh, equity research analyst for Think 20/20 Research: Mr. Marsh said the myriad implications in cable TV giant Comcast’s proposed acquisition of NBC could prompt the Federal Communications Commission to review its ownership rules. Three congressional committees have called for hearings about the unprecedented takeover.
