D.C. police said they are investigating an incident in which a plainclothes officer drew a gun during a snowball fight.

Metropolitan Police Department spokesman Officer Kenny Bryson said police will conduct a full investigation into the circumstances of the incident. Officer Bryson said there is no indication that the officer pointed the gun at anyone.

The incident during Saturday’s massive snowstorm was captured on video, which was posted to YouTube. The officer can be seen holding a gun. Later, he identifies himself as a detective and acknowledges that he drew his gun after being hit with snowballs.

The snowball fight was organized on Twitter, and the incident was discussed widely on the social networking site.
