If you’re considering sending a greeting card in lieu of a gift this holiday season, you’re not alone.

According to a report commissioned by the retailer Cardstore.com, about 20 percent of Americans are planning to save money by sending greeting cards instead of gifts.

To make the greeting card alternative even cheaper, Cardstore.com offers a 15 percent discount.

Then again, why spend $2 or more per card when you could make your own for even less?

Either way, happy - frugal - holidays!
