ANALYSIS/OPINION:

Your editorial “The enemy at West Point” (Opinion, Friday) is absolutely correct. The sad thing is that it never should have become necessary. It is a real tragedy that, given the sacrifices made by graduates of that institution, they should be described as “the enemy.”

Those on the left who impugn the integrity of our men and women in uniform should try to live under totalitarian regimes in other countries. Why President Obama and his administration wage war on their own troops and refuse to allow our forces in Afghanistan to fight the enemy on our terms is disgusting. This country is blessed with a fighting force whose magnificence in many respects it does not deserve.
