In a Feb. 10 TV interview with Greta Van Susteren of Fox News, Jeffrey H. Birnbaum, managing editor for digital operations at The Washington Times, disclosed that more than a few corporate executives were deeding or otherwise passing on their earnings, property, etc., to their wives.

One has to wonder how highly motivated these men are. We have a great economic crisis, and many ordinary people are losing jobs and/or homes or are under threat of doing so. At the very least, they must struggle to make ends meet.

The best that can be said for such CEOs as these is that they are tone deaf or oblivious to what is going on around them. I hesitate to say that they may be guilty of worse than that.
