DC Coast (1401 K St. NW) will serve a four-course menu for $44 and a bottle of wine, also $44, to honor the 44th president. Also available: two inaugural cocktails - the Dream and the Spirit, priced at $9 each.

Fast fact:Ulysses S. Grant seems to have had the worst luck at his 1873 inaugural ball. In the 16-degree temperature of a temporary wooden building constructed for the occasion, champagne turned to slush, guests danced in coats and hats, oysters froze, violin strings snapped - and the 100 canaries, brought in to add a whimsical touch, froze to death.
