ANALYSIS/OPINION:

Ben Nuckols‘ article on inner-city juries (“Dixon likely to get jury empathy,” Metro, Friday) was very disturbing, but not surprising. Unfortunately, it probably is true that such jurors tend to disregard the facts and say “to hell with the law.” Too bad they are so shortsighted because they doom their own locale to live with the fallout of their recklessness. Oh well, citizens usually get the governments (and living conditions) they deserve.
