ANALYSIS/OPINION:

ANALYSIS/OPINION:

I have been writing to everybody I can think of lately to help the poor get more money to help with essentials, but I have done this in vain. The letters I wrote to President Bush have fallen on deaf ears. I know President Obama has only been in office for one week. That’s the best time to help the poor.

The new money package the president has just OK’d, again, has been spent on frivolous things. Mr. Obama promised he would spend it wisely. There are millions of people living below the poverty level, including myself, depending on the monies that are given to us by the government, but it never comes. Someone has to take care of the poor. Washington needs to help the millions of poor to survive in these bad economic times. Nobody else is going to help.

The people who care and are going through the same things should contact the White House and make sure someone of importance sees it and pray the president sees it, too.
