How did you get started in real estate? I started as a real estate assistant. After a few months, I realized that wasn’t where the excitement was for me and quickly became a full-time licensed agent.

How long have you been with the current company? Almost three years (in February 2009)

Licenses and designations: Licensed in Maryland

Associations: National Association of Realtors, Maryland Association of Realtors, Greater Capital Association of Realtors

Awards: I led the office in top sales two times this past year, and I’m a member of Weichert’s 2007 Executive Club, which includes individuals who have ranked among the top 5 percent of all company sales associates.

Greatest accomplishment in the past 12 months: I received the award for Top Weichert Family or Company in September and led the office in sales for the months of April and August. Another achievement I’m proud of is paying for my daughter’s college tuition with income from my real estate sales.

Area of specialty: First-time homebuyers

Highest-priced home sold: $590,000

Most memorable house: Each sale has been memorable for a different reason. It has been so rewarding to help homebuyers and sellers meet their goals successfully.

Worst experience buying or selling a house: I represented the buyer for my first short sale in 2007. The bank retracted their approval after providing it in writing and working with us for three months. However, the buyer and I quickly recovered and the buyer purchased another beautiful home two months later.

Family: Husband and three children: ages 12, 19 and 25

Education: Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering from Howard University

Community service/outside interests: Boundary committee for Clarksburg High School, various PTA activities at my children’s school

Last movie seen: “The Pursuit of Happyness”

What kind of car do you drive? 1999 Oldsmobile Alero

Describe your personal dream house: New home on a quiet street, built to incorporate all of the latest technology
