LOCAL POWER RANKINGS WHO’S GENERATING BUZZ IN THE D.C. AREA?

BRIAN ORAKPO

The Redskins are a week from reporting and still no contract agreement. He’s learning a new position and can’t afford a long holdout.

MIKE RIZZO

The Nationals’ acting GM should negotiate with Stephen Strasburg through the media. It would show the team is trying.

LaVAR ARRINGTON

Dan Snyder better have good earplugs if some of his moves and nonmoves don’t pan out.

NICK JOHNSON

If he’s traded, there will be no former Expos players still with the Nationals - but still plenty of Jim Bowden’s wreckage.

MICHAEL VICK

Being a felon is a reason why he’ll have trouble finding a job. Here’s another: He wasn’t a very good player in the NFL.

TWT FIVE COLLEGE FOOTBALL OVER-UNDERS

Las Vegas released its annual college football over-under win totals on Tuesday:

1. Florida (11 wins) - Urban Meyer led last year’s national champs to a 13-1 record and returns all 11 starters on defense and Tim Tebow on offense.

2a. Boise State (10.5) - The Broncos have won 10-plus games six out of the last seven years, including a 12-1 record a season ago.

2b. Texas (10.5) - Heisman candidate Colt McCoy returns to the offense, but the Longhorns lost Brian Orakpo on the defensive line.

4. USC (10) - There are a lot of question marks, including who will start in quarterback and how an entirely rebuilt defense will live up to last year’s No. 1 ranking.

5. Oklahoma (9.5) - Vegas also put Alabama, Penn State and Ohio State at 9.5, but it’s the Sooners, with Heisman winner Sam Bradford returning, who could get back to the national title game.
