The editorial “Obama stands with tyrants” (Opinion, Thursday) is a reminder that history is replete with examples of the “ignorant” outwitting their “intellectual superiors” — Josef Stalin, Adolf Hitler, Nikita Khrushchev, Fidel Castro, Hugo Chavez, to name just a few. Seeing a photo of former Honduran President Manuel Zelaya arm in arm with Venezuela’s Mr. Chavez and Cuba’s Raul Castro told me everything I need to know. None of them has any intention of voluntarily giving up power — ever. When our “wise owls” climb into a boat with these foxes, bad things happen. Now comes President Obama - intelligent and highly educated — and the boat beckons.
