Calling all lovers of free entertainment, air conditioning and Elizabeth Taylor.

Mondays through Aug. 3, the National Theatre, 1321 Pennsylvania Ave. NW, will be hosting free showings of films starring Miss Taylor at 6:30 p.m.

The series, titled “Who’s Afraid of Elizabeth Taylor? Films of a Hollywood Legend,” will feature “Butterfield 8,” a 1960 film that co-stars Laurence Harvey and Eddie Fisher, next week. Miss Taylor won her first Oscar for her portrayal of Gloria.

The following Mondays will feature “Giant,” “A Place in the Sun” and “Who’s Afraid of Virginia Woolf?”

Tickets, free, are required and will be distributed 30 minutes before showtime on a first-come, first-served basis.
