J Street is a left-wing, Palestinian advocacy group pretending to be pro-Israel. Groups - Jewish and otherwise - that want the United States to put pressure on Israel to act in a way that contravenes the democratically expressed will of that nation are no friends of Israel.

A recent editorial in the Jerusalem Post noted: “Where American Jews cross the line [between criticism of Israel and doing harm to the state] is in proactively lobbying their government to pressure Israel into steps most Israelis strongly feel would put this country in jeopardy - and in doing so under the intellectually dishonest banner of being pro-Israel.” I hope The Washington Times will reconsider simply accepting an organization’s self-characterization as accurate.
