ANALYSIS/OPINION:

Likening the murder of Dr. George Tiller, the prolific late-term abortionist, to the assassination of Martin Luther King, the attack on Pearl Harbor and other historic atrocities is an abomination. (“Tiller likened to MLK,” Second Front, Top News, Tuesday). Dr. Tiller’s ilk views any restriction on abortion as an unacceptable attack on a woman’s liberty. As such people see it, abortion - at any time, by any means, for any reason - is fine, and a woman should have freedom of choice to abort up to and during the birth of the child.

It is a sad commentary on the decline of our culture that there seems to be only a fragile line between abortion and infanticide. Indeed, we just elected a president who supports the gruesome procedure of partial-birth abortion and the practice of leaving those “born alive” to die. A more apt description of the Tillers of this world would be a comparison to Stalin, Hitler, Pol Pot or other murderous thugs who kill in a moral void.
