ANALYSIS/OPINION:

According to Carleton Bryant’s June 7 Out of Context column (Sunday Read), President Obama recently spent as much as $250,000 for a flight, dinner and Broadway show in New York. He did this despite criticizing certain corporate CEOs for going to Las Vegas on “the taxpayers’ dime” and with people losing their jobs and unable to pay their bills. The president should lead by example and show some “empathy” for those in need - not spend a quarter of a million dollars of taxpayers’ hard-earned money for personal pleasure.
