Baldwin opts out

Another celebrity has bailed out of the Costa Rican jungle set of “I’m a Celebrity … Get Me Out of Here!”

According to Associated Press, Stephen Baldwin says he exited the NBC show over the weekend because he got more than 125 insect bites in eight days.

The actor says he will continue to work on behalf of his chosen charity Love 146, which fights child sex slavery and exploitation.

“I’m a Celebrity” ends Wednesday.

Jessica’s new reality

Six years after she became a breakout reality-TV star with MTV’s “Newlyweds: Nick & Jessica,” Jessica Simpson is returning to MTV Networks for a new reality series on VH1.

“The Price of Beauty,” a docu-series, will feature Miss Simpson traveling the world to meet everyday women as well as some local pop-culture icons, the Hollywood Reporter says.

Miss Simpson will study local fashions, dietary fads and beauty regimes and even participate in some of the extreme practices she discovers.

Hunt joins ‘NCIS’

CBS says Academy Award-winning actress Linda Hunt is joining the cast of the new fall drama “NCIS: Los Angeles.”

The network tells Associated Press that Miss Hunt will play a tough, efficient department manager who gets government investigators the electronics and other crime-fighting tools they need.

“NCIS: Los Angeles” is a spinoff of the long-running CBS drama “NCIS.” The new show stars Chris O’Donnell and LL Cool J as members of a Naval Criminal Investigative Service division that goes after criminals who pose a threat to national security.

Miss Hunt won a best-supporting-actress Oscar for her role in 1982’s “The Year of Living Dangerously.”
