WHAT: The 5th Anniversary Duke Ellington Jazz Festival

WHEN: Friday through June 15. Showtimes vary. The festival’s Prelude Concert: Phillips After 5 - The Grand of Jazz Piano takes place at 5 p.m. tonight at the Phillips Collection.

WHERE: Various venues throughout the District

TICKETS: Most events - including the Jazz in the Hoods series, Jazz n’ Families Fun Day at the Phillips Collection and New Orleans on the Mall - are free. Information on ticketed events is available on the festival’s Web site.
