NEW YORK (AP) - Newly filed court documents show Bernard Madoff and his wife had a net worth of more than $823 million at the end of last year.

The document detailing Madoff’s assets was contained in papers filed by his lawyers in an effort to get him freed on bail.

The document showed the Madoffs owned four real estate properties worth $22 million, $17 million in cash and a $7 million yacht, among other assets.

Madoff was sent to prison Thursday after he pleaded guilty to 11 felony counts, including securities fraud in connection with a Ponzi scheme he ran. His $10 million bail was immediately revoked.

The 70-year-old Madoff faces up to 150 years in prison at a June sentencing.
