How did you get started in real estate? My father has been in the business for more than 38 years. I was looking for a career change. I have a background in psychology.

How long have you been with the current company? Since 2001

Licenses and designations: Licensed in Maryland, certified real estate mentor

Associations: Greater Capital Area Association of Realtors

Awards: Member, Million Dollar Club (multiple times); Executive Club, 2007

Greatest accomplishment in the past 12 months: Training for a marathon to honor my nephew, Connor Riggs, who survived leukemia

Area of specialty: Anne Arundel County

Highest-priced home sold: $1,100,000

Most memorable house: I sold a home where the seller was in a wheelchair. I boxed up the house, cleaned the garage and filled six dumpsters of trash cleaning out the house. I sold the house in three days, and the seller had tears in her eyes. This was my most rewarding sale ever.

Worst experience buying or selling a house: My worst experience was helping someone buy a home with 2 feet of snow on the ground. I assumed the front yard had a lawn, but when the snow melted, the front yard turned out to be gravel and concrete. Luckily, the buyer liked the “no maintenance” aspect of the yard.

Describe your personal dream house: A Cape Cod-style home with four bedrooms on a half-acre lot, with an in-ground pool, wood-burning and gas fireplaces and a large family room to accommodate my extended Italian family.
