PEORIA, ARIZ. (AP) - Fausto Carmona threw four scoreless innings and the Cleveland Indians beat a San Diego Padres split squad 8-6 on Saturday.

Carmona walked three but limited the Padres to one hit. The right-hander struck out two and lowered his spring ERA to 2.45.

Cleveland shortstop Jhonny Peralta continued his impressive spring with a two-run single. Peralta is hitting .565 with two homers and nine RBIs.

Cha Seung Baek yielded two runs and two hits in four innings for San Diego.
