ISLAMABAD (AP) - A prominent Pakistani government minister says she has quit her post amid a deepening political crisis in the country.

Information Minister Sherry Rehman confirmed reports of her resignation on Saturday.

Rehman gave no reason for her decision. However, it followed a complaint by a private television news channel that authorities had curbed its coverage of growing anti-government protests.
