FORT LAUDERDALE, FLA. (AP) - Felix Pie hit a two-run homer and finished with three RBIs, leading the Baltimore Orioles to a 9-8 victory over the Boston Red Sox on Saturday.

Justin Turner went deep twice and Nick Markakis, Nolan Reimold and Donnie Murphy also connected for Baltimore. Murphy’s ninth-inning solo drive off Steve Green gave the Orioles the victory.

Jed Lowrie went 1-for-2 with an RBI double and walked twice for Boston.

Lowrie is competing with Julio Lugo for the starting shortstop job but Lugo left Friday night’s game against the New York Yankees with an injured right knee. He had an MRI but the results weren’t immediately available.
