The idea of President Obama “reaching out” and seeking dialogue with “moderate” members of the Taliban is absolutely ridiculous. The Taliban is an extremist organization that imposes the harshest Shariah law in areas it controls. We’ve all seen videos of poor oppressed women being shot in the head in the center of an arena for being in public without a male relative or showing an ankle, etc. The Taliban is extremist - there are no “moderates” in the Taliban. To be a moderate is to not be in the Taliban. Mr. Obama must know this, so my question is, what is he really trying to accomplish?
