KISSIMMEE, FLA. (AP) - Jose Capellan extended his spring scoreless streak to 12 2-3 innings in the Houston Astros’ 3-2 loss to the Atlanta Braves.

Capellan allowed four hits and struck out four in 4 2-3 innings in his first Grapefruit League start Sunday. He has made four appearances this spring and surrendered just eight hits and a walk.

The 28-year-old right-hander was considered a long shot to make the team when spring training started but could end up in the rotation.

Derek Lowe pitched five innings in his longest stint of the spring for the Braves. He allowed two runs and four hits, struck out six and walked two.
