SACRAMENTO, CALIF. (AP) - Sacramento Kings guard Bobby Jackson will undergo surgery to repair a broken cheekbone.

Jackson broke his left cheekbone late in the Kings’ overtime loss to the Cleveland Cavaliers on Friday night. The team announced Monday that he would need surgery.

The Kings say Jackson’s playing status for the rest of the season will be determined after the operation Friday at UC Davis Medical Center.

Jackson is averaging 7.4 points per game. The Kings have the worst record in the NBA at 14-52.
