BRUSSELS (AP) - Cyclist Kurt Hovelijnck is in intensive care with a skull fracture after crashing during a training run.

Team Quick Step says the Belgian rider is in “unstable” condition Tuesday after being rushed to a hospital in nearby Ghent. The exact cause of the crash is unclear.

The 27-year-old Hovelijnck is in his first year with Quick Step, which also includes Tom Boonen, Allan Davis and Sylvain Chavanel.
