COLUMBIA, S.C. (AP) - South Carolina coach Steve Spurrier says starting defensive lineman Ladi Ajiboye (LAH-dy AH-ji-boy) has been suspended indefinitely.

Spurrier says Ajiboye is suspended for team reasons but is still in school.

Ajiboye has started 21 games the past two seasons. He has not taken part in the Gamecocks first two spring practice sessions.

Spurrier said Ajiboye won’t practice or be part of team activities. He said he’ll revisit the issue in a week or two.

Sophomore Travian Robertson practiced in Ajiboye’s spot Tuesday.
