CHICAGO (AP) - Agriculture futures gained in midday trading Thursday on the Chicago Board of Trade.

Wheat for May delivery jumped 25 cents to $5.55 a bushel, while May corn rose 11.75 cents to $4 a bushel, and May soybeans rose 34 cents to $9.49 a bushel. May oats were unchanged at $1.9325.

Beef and pork futures rose on the Chicago Mercantile Exchange.

April live cattle gained 1.55 cents to 85.10 cents a pound, while May feeder cattle jumped 1.3 cents to 95.35 cents a pound. April lean hogs gained 0.25 cent to 62.50 cents a pound, and May pork bellies added 0.78 cent to 91 cents a pound.
