RANCHO SANTA MARGARITA, CALIF. (AP) - An explosion in a commercial structure in California’s Orange County has killed two people and injured at least one more, authorities say.

Orange County Fire Capt. Greg McKeown says the blast occurred around 11:40 p.m. Thursday inside the building, which is located across the street from a fire station in Rancho Santa Margarita.

Firefighters rushed inside and found two bodies. McKeown says a third victim was taken to a hospital for treatment, but that person’s condition is not immediately known.

The cause of the explosion is under investigation.
