GOODYEAR, ARIZ. (AP) - Prized pitching prospect Brett Anderson left the Oakland Athletics’ 7-6 loss to the Cleveland Indians after two innings because of left forearm stiffness.

Anderson said it wasn’t serious and the team was just being cautious. The left-hander didn’t allow a run and surrendered just one hit Friday.

Carl Pavano had a rough start for the Indians, surrendering six runs and seven hits in four innings.

Rajai Davis had three hits and Cliff Pennington had three RBIs for Oakland.

Victor Martinez homered for the Tribe.
