PHOENIX (AP) - Barry Zito’s curveball was more on target, and so was his pitching line.

Zito allowed six hits and three runs, one earned, in six innings, and the San Francisco Giants beat the Chicago White Sox 10-3 on Friday. He walked one and struck out three. He lowered his ERA to 5.49.

Jose Contreras gave up five hits, two walks and three runs _ two earned _ in three innings as he continues his comeback from a ruptured Achilles’ tendon.

The Giants’ Emmanuel Burris went 3-for-4 while the White Sox’s Juan Uribe went 2-for-4 and Wilson Betemit went 2-for-4 and drove in his 12th run of the spring.
